Services resume on Limerick-Heuston rail line following a fatal incident
Services have resumed in the area following a fatal incident.

TRAIN SERVICES BETWEEN Ballybrophy and Portlaoise have resumed and the line has reopened after a fatal incident took place on the line earlier today, Irish Rail has said.
The fatal incident took place between Thurles and Portlaoise Station and disrupted the 8.30am service from Limerick to Heuston Station in Dublin.
Emergency services attended the scene and spokespeople for An Garda Síochána and Irish Rail confirmed that a fatality occurred.
Irish Rail said on Twitter that knock-on delays are expected after the earlier “major disruption” on the rail line.
The company has confirmed there has been a fatal incident.
Services have since resumed in the area.

The spokesperson for Irish Rail added that this incident is expected to have a big impact on those travelling from Clare to Dublin for All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final today.
Iarnróid Éireann are suggesting those who are planning to travel from Clare today look for alternative methods of transport as there is “no guarantee” that the line between the two stations will reopen soon.
The train service said they could not confirm that a bus service will run from Ballybrophy station on Twitter.
